My artistic training came in several forms; I was not only inspired by my childhood experiences, but
throughout the years explored a variety of forms of self-expression, including playing keyboard and a
short stint with the guitar, dabbling in writing, photography,  and even landscape design, to name a
few. I pursued the arts in a professional manner later on when I returned to college after an extended
delay.
I now have a B.A. in Art History. I studied Painting and Stained Glass  as Studio Arts Electives
toward my degree. I began experimenting with new ideas and stained glass designs, bringing my pieces
to art fairs, to learn which would be popular with my customers. I have been selling my stained glass
pieces at arts & crafts fairs and fine art shows around southern California, from San Diego to Santa
Barbara and everywhere in between. I especially enjoy designing custom pieces for a client.

Meanwhile, the professor of my  beginning painting class encouraged me to continue on with my
painting. Now I am continuing to create stained glass pieces, and have also begun a series of oil
paintings. I enjoy painting still life and landscapes.

I'm extremely excited to have been accepted at the Sawdust Festival Winter Fantasy for the second
year in a row, and although I sold only stained glass last year, I will also be including oil paintings in
my booth this year.

The Sawdust Festival is quite an experience. Artists are responsible for building their own booths. We
create our own unique space. The Winter Festival is especially fun as the entire area is decked out in
Christmas lights, decorated with dozens of trees full of lights and ornaments, even a play yard filled
with snow for the younger guests. Kids can visit with Santa in his house, and adults will enjoy the
variety of live music, great food, and beautiful at!
